Strategies for supporting children to heal from trauma

Do you work with or care for young children? Do you support families who may have experienced trauma?J﻿oin the City of Mandurah for this trauma informed workshop facilitated by Karen Hulls from Complex Trauma Training WA.M﻿onday 12th June 20234﻿pm to 7pmLakelands Library and Community CentreChildren and young people are supported to heal from trauma, in relationships with adults that are safe, secure and enduring. Although workplace practices might focus on &#x27;managing behaviour&#x27;, this workshop will focus on exploring why &#x27;relationship is the intervention&#x27;, discussing strategies for building relationships with children and young people who have experienced or are experiencing complex trauma.T﻿his workshop is free to service providers and community members working with or caring for families and children within City of Mandurah; however bookings are essential. Space is limited, so secure your spot via Eventbrite.P﻿lease note, the content contained within this training is not suitable for children, so children are unable to attend. No child-minding facilities are able to be provided.L﻿ight refreshments will be available.
